So lucky to live here – beautiful evening

By | November 29th, 2017|architecture, cinema, design, parks and gardens, weather|

So incredibly grateful right now. I only had to wait 20 minutes for a bus and it is 11:30 pm on a Wednesday night. So amazing. This little strip is one of my favourite in Melbourne. It is Lygon St in Carlton. So leafy and vibrant and lush.

the most beautiful girl in the world

It is such a beautiful evening for sharing friendship. :-) I am so happy tonight. It is Mistress Butterfly's birthday. We went to an interesting collection of writers who have recently had a residency at the Wheeler Centre. They were beautiful stories. Something that stood out for me was one writer saying 'I write to [...]

Summer has hit in a big way – 34 degrees and counting

By | November 14th, 2017|daily life, weather|

It is the kind of blisteringly hot afternoon where a cool breeze is some kind of exquisite heaven. Beer is just the thing. :-) In fact, I am going to break out a nice refreshing white wine to start the summer season. Pinot Grigio. Cheers.

bright, spring evening for red wine and chai

By | October 28th, 2017|bars and restaurants, journal, light art, Turtle, weather|

There was such a sweet scent in the air, on my way home. Jasmine, maybe. :-) It is a beautiful night. The nicest part of my night was laughing at the penguins, the lights of the city across the bay, and sitting outside in one of the cafes on Acland Street after everyone had left, [...]

Spring 2017 – highly appreciative

By | September 17th, 2017|bars and restaurants, Turtle, weather|

It is the most beautiful time of year. :-) The sun is coming out and the world is warming up, here in Australia. I am so happy to be amongst it. I was thinking about my age. It is nice. I want to suck every last drop out of life. It is so good. The [...]
